ITNWS is built around verifiable facts, clear explanations and respect for other people’s work. These principles apply to all language editions.
Sources and timeliness
News prioritises original sources: developers, manufacturers, standards organisations and project documentation. Established specialist publications help identify developments, independent measurements and additional context.
Before publication, we check the source publication date, the date of the event itself, product status and regional availability. Rumours, forecasts and preliminary information must be clearly identified. An old event must not be presented as breaking news.
Original writing
A story should not copy another article or merely rearrange its sentences. We develop our own structure, explanation and context while keeping the facts accurate. Direct quotations should be brief, relevant and attributed.
Specifications and testing
Performance, latency, endurance, power consumption and other figures must include units and the available testing conditions. A manufacturer’s result must not be presented as an independent editorial measurement. A stated maximum speed does not imply that speed in every workload.
Photography and illustrations
We use original images, authorised press materials and images with suitable licences. Reused material must credit the creator or rights holder, identify its source and meet the licence requirements. An illustrative image must not be presented as a photograph of a specific newly announced product.
Translations
The Russian, Ukrainian and English editions are complete texts on separate URLs. Model names, dates, figures and qualifications must be checked in each edition. Language links lead to the corresponding translation when it has been published.
AI assistance
AI may help with structure, technical explanations and translation. Its output is not itself a factual source. Claims must be checked against accessible documentation; fabricated quotations, test results and references are unacceptable.
Updates and corrections
Significant clarifications update the article’s modification date and explain important corrections. The original publication date is retained. Advertising and sponsored material, if introduced, must be clearly labelled.
